The cultivation of Uva di Troia in the north of Apulia dates back a long time ago. It is the result of the tenacity and strength of the winemakers who in the past years have kept the winemaking traditions of this area intanct. Frederick II of Swabia had already praised the great qualities of this vine and he deeply loved its fruit. After vinification and fermentation, it acquires a color so solid and impenetrable to be called Nero di Troia.
Ideal with the typical products of Apulia, such as Orecchiette with Cime di Rapa, excellent with large texture meats and furred game (wild boar, hares). To be tried also with first courses in cheese sauce and with very tasty selection of cold cuts.
