Mimina was created by Francesca, an Italian girl who after a lifetime spent abroad in cosmopolitan cities, she decides to quit her job in a renowned auction house, return to Italy and rekindle with Santa Sofia, her home town and centre of family bonds. Mimina wants to offer organic, vegan, handcrafted granola baked in a wood-fired oven. The company was born from the desire to rediscover her family roots, bond with nature and find stability within a healthy lifestyle. The small town, among the sweet hills of romagna, becomes the place of inspiration for a new beginning, and hence the cradle of Mimina.
‘Mimina’ or ‘ my little one’ gives tribute to her grandfather, a man who loved to live healthily while respecting nature. Thanks to her grandfather she has learned that details in the kitchen are essential, as they will make your plate not only look better but taste better too. Gilberto was living for the simple things and for the true relations, something she has also found again on her return to Santa Sofia.
